What they do have that is really exciting is they are giving away free free movie for two. This promo is run in conjunction with Magic 88.9.fm, my favorite radio station in Manila. Now all you need to do is buy some popcorn and you are good to go. But in rare occasion that you do not want the ticket for yourself, you can give it to someone since the tickets are transferable.

Madonna Decena is another Filipino with hopes of making it big in her own way in a foreign land. And now is her chance as she sings her way into the hit TV show in UK, Britain’s Got Talent.

I found Madonna Decena’s story in mindrelaxingideas.blogspot.com while I was dropping entrecard and I was truly touched by her story. Madonna is a 32-year old club singer in UK who left her two girls in Philippines and tries to earn enough money to provide a better life for them. And now is her break as she won the hearts of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan when she sang Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You and made it to the next round.

Her performance definitely melted the hearts of the audience and also Simon’s, who is known to be a stone-cold hearted judge.

Another Filipino pride and big star in the making.

About the New 7 Wonders of Nature

The New 7 Wonders of the World campaign was a resounding success, in which more than 100 million votes were cast and which took democracy to a new global level. Now, the second campaign organized by the non-profit New7Wonders Foundation, to choose the New 7 Wonders of Nature, is off to a promising start: Some 200 nominations were submitted by some half a million people within the first few months of the campaign.

Call for Official Supported Nominees!

Nominations can be submitted for the New 7 Wonders of Nature campaign until December 31, 2008. Check the world map now to ensure that your favorite natural site has been suggested, then get in touch with local authorities to make sure they form an Official Supporting Committee for the nominee.

Vote for your nominee!

Voting for nominees will continue through 31.12.08. Then, a panel of experts will create a list of 21 candidates from which voters worldwide will elect the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The New7Wonders Panel of Experts, under the leadership of Prof. Federico Mayor, former Director-General of UNESCO, will select the 21 Finalists from the top-ranked Official Supported Nominees (to ensure the fairness of the process, the names of the Panel of Experts will be released after their decision has been made). The 21 finalists will then be put to popular vote.

You can cast your votes here. All you have to do is provide a valid email address (confirmation will be sent after you vote) and select a continent (Asia, etc.) and a drop-down menu will appear revealing the nominees (Chocolate Hills, Tubbataha Reef, Mayon Volcano, etc.)

If you can’t see your favorite place in the list, you can also nominate by going to the Nomination Page and nominate a place here in Philippines that deserves to be in the list of Seven Wonders of the World.

The current nominees from our country as of this writing are Tubbataha Reef (Sulu), Mayon Volcano (Albay) and Chocolate Hills (Bohol).
