Saving Digital Media with Nero

Burning files to digital optical media is not new to me, but looking for the best DVD disc is difficult to do. I only go for the best media because my data is more valuable than a $0.50 DVD-R disc. In other words, the data I keep in these dics are priceless.

In order to be able to save my priceless data to the disc, a burning software is in order. One popular brand is Nero, which I have used since I was able to burn files to CD’s. I even remember how cool I was for having a CD writer drive when the rest of my class are still using floppy disks. Apache is a powerful program to use in powering up a web site. Like any other service, it uses its own port to identify it from the rest of the thousands of services available. But if a typical system administrator needs to set up a firewall, a better understandng of how ports work, and which port is for what service and how it passes through the network.

Apache typically uses port 80 for unsecured connection and port 443 for secured connection and these ports can be enabled or disabled in a firewall, either iptables or hardware firewall. Being flexible that Apache is, setting the port can be done within the configuration file of Apache, httpd.conf.

Where is my Furniture?

I am not the person you should talk to when it comes to furniture. I mean I have absolutely no idea which wood is best for dinner tables or what fabric goes well with wicker set. To me, all tables and chairs are the same. Except of course for my bed, which is the only furniture in the house that I am capable of distinguishing differences among brands and models.

Anyway, I have been searching for a simple and space-saving dinner table for a couple of months already. I have no idea where to look for one. But my sister-in-law recommended a furniture-make a few blocks away from our house, and she said that they offer the best deals in town when it comes to customized home furniture. I never found the guy.

I am now practically desperate at this point because I really need at least one dining room furniture, considering that my living room, kitchen and dining room are all in one, well, room. I need something to distinguish which is which, considering that my apartment is so tiny, just like me. Even my bathroom is bare so I might as well find bathroom vanities in my search for the elusive dinner table. I just hope I find one soon, just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, or everyone will be sitting on the floor during dinner.

Me and My Prescription Glasses

I have this terrible headache that comes and goes for a few days now. It is really annoying and irritating and if stress is not enough to drive me mad, I have got a really bad headache to go with it. Pfft.

There could be a lot of reasons why I am having this headache. My medical history dictates that I am either dealing with a lot stress, lack of sleep or my eyesight is going bad. Or a combination of those. Not that I am getting old, I mean I am still young, but working in front of three monitors at 12 hours a day (or night) at minimum is not good for my beautiful pair of eyes and whole-being. It is damaging and stressful. And being stubborn that I am, I refuse to wear prescription eyeglasses. Not for vanity reasons, I just do not like wearing them. I look, well, old. Add some stress and lack of sleep, and I got myself a vampire in the mirror.

Given the correct lens and frames, I could do away with wearing one without adding age to my face.
