Kodak Easyshare C743

I am one of those who are innately camera-shy and does not bother to take life’s treasured moments in a single photograph. That has changed and so I bought my Kodak C743 so I can stop from relying on my Sony-Ericsson W810i camera phone in taking pictures.

The camera is a 7.1-Mega pixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom and it is easy to use and has basic features like Night Mode, Portrait for taking close pictures, Landscape for taking sceneries and Sports Mode for taking fast-moving pictures. It has a knob on top so you can change from one mode to another or take videos instead of still pictures by jogging the knob.

The package contains the camera, instruction manual, driver CD, USB cable, TV connector, pouch and two pieces AA batteries. Since the batteries are not rechargeable, I purchased two Energizer rechargeable batteries with charger for 800+ pesos at Ace Hardware.

I also tested if my camera will be detected by Linux if plugged thru USB and no wonder, it was detected and auto-mounted. After I plugged in my camera, the Auto play feature popped asking me if I want to browse my device. Of course I do, are you kidding me? And ladies and gentlemen, this is what I call Plug and Play.

Here are some examples of pictures taken from my Kodak C743. Click on a photo with Kodak tag, then on the lower right part of the screen, under Additonal Info Taken with a Kodak EasyShare C743 Zoom, select More properties.
