Users of Compiz Fusion 3D Desktop have another plugin they can add to their effects list. The well-known ‘cube effect’ now has a sister, the ‘cylinder effect’, aptly named after its cylindrical appearance .
Compiz developers put a new spin, pun not intended, to the cube effect adding more depth and fun to the desktop spin. Remember my post about my Acer 5570 notebook running Kubuntu+Compiz? The cute cube now has a variation, the cylinder deformation, which is as cool as the cube effect.
