eeeXubuntu: Ubuntu for the Asus EeePC

For those who are going ga-ga over the newest technology craze released by Asus, the EeePC, this news is a big one. In the EeePC Blog, a customized OS for the EeePC was made available based on Xubuntu. Ubuntu is known to run in EeePC but there are some settings needs a little tweaking here and there based on some users who have already gotten their hands on this nifty laptop.

Thanks to the development team who started the eeeXubuntu project, EeePC owners can download the customized OS from the eeeuser.com website.

Here is a quick download link: eeeXubuntu-7.10 release 2 (ISO)

The ASUS Eee PC (pronounced “E P C”) is an ultra-portable notebook computer which uses Solid State Device (SSD) for its storage rather than hard disk drive.
