The distribution uses the latest version of Linux kernel 2.6.21 and of course, Firefox 2. They have also added GUI administration and troubleshooting manager for SELinux and a few firmwares for wireless network devices. And the one feature I’m so excited to see is its support for Sony Playstation 3. Read here for the detailed release summary.

Corrections:
The latest release of Fedora is actually called Fedora 7 and not Fedora Core 7. This is because with this recent release, the Core packages and Extras are already merged. This means that Fedora 7 was made to accommodate all kinds of users, providing each and everyone packages that will suit every kind of taste.
