I am an Entrecard user for just about a few weeks and I love it. It significantly increased my traffic in a short time and because of it connects many bloggers like me, I discover a lot of new blogs and I even bookmark some of them.
Build Traffic with EntrecardTo those who does not know what an Entrecard is, it is a social site where bloggers join and promote their blogs by placing ads on another blog and inviting visitors to your blog. It helps other people discover your site when you advertise on another blog by buying ads using your Entrecard credits. Entrecard credits are earned by dropping cards on another blog which displays the Entrecard widget. When the owner of the blog sees on his, Entrecard account that you dropped a card on his blog he will also drop a card on your site. This way, the more Entrecards you drop, the more users will visit your site so they can drop their cards too.
Dropping Entrecards does not only increase your traffic, you can also earn Entrecard credits which you can use to purchase ads or buy hosting accounts. Some bloggers use Entrecards as giveaways or cool contest prizes, which is very effective in building up traffic.
Although Entrecard is very useful, some people do no know how to be an effective Entrecard user. I may not be a guru when it comes to card dropping but I have a few tips that I use and here is my list:
- Be sure to return the love. Don’t forget to visit the sites of those who dropped their cards on your blog. This will keep the cycle of card dropping continuously running. And don’t forget you get credits as well!
- Subscribe to the Inbox RSS Feed in your Entrecard account. You can use the RSS button found on the Dashboard and use your favorite RSS reader to see the latest card droppers on your site. It is also easier to open the site to return the love (see number 1).
- Click the ads on the Entrecard widget. You can help other websites by clicking on the ad. You also promote your site by visiting various kinds of blogs, and who knows what you will discover by clicking random sites.
- Expand your network. Add friends who have similar interests and write up a recommendation for them if you like their sites. This will build up your friends network and your traffic as well.
- Read up. Visit the Entrecard forums and blog every once in a while. You will get updates and get tips from more experienced Entrecard users. You can also use the News Feed link to get the juicy news about EC.
If you follow these techniques, it is easier to drop 300 Cards per day. But remember to use legit ways of dropping cards and avoid automated card dropping. EC will ban your account if they find any suspicious activities in your account.

I was certainly addicted to this service when I first tried it out a couple of months ago. But then again, familiarity breeds attempt, and I discovered at least two ways of gaming the system. I tried it and was dropping 300 cards in under 20 minutes. It kinda lost it’s luster after that. And no, it’s not automated dropping. I think a lot of those big time entrecard users have their own system as well. It’s unthinkable that they will be able to give away a lot of entrecard points just by earning from their ads and religiously dropping cards.
