If you haven’t noticed yet, there are some significant changes in PinoyTux over the weekend. The first one is I decided to become a member of Entrecard community. Entrecard is an online community of bloggers and site owners who share common interest and promote their web sites through “card dropping”.
Entrecard has widgets (like the one on the right) to let your visitors know that you are a member. When fellow Entrecard members visit your site, they can drop their cards on your widget to let you know that they visited. Then you will also do the same on their web sites. If you keep on doing this, your blog reaches a lot of audience and therefore, you are promoting your site. And what do you get from this? Not only you are reaching more and more readers everyday but you also earn credit everytime someone drops a card or you drop cards on someone else’s site. If you earn enough credit, you can use this to buy adverts or even some cool stuff like web hosting credits.
Cool, huh?
Also, I added a new plugin called CommenLuv that automatically inserts your latest post everytime you comment on any of my topics. This means that you, my readers, will get an automatic link back with every comment that you make here. There is no catch here, just make a comment and you will see that your latest blog post will be inserted. If you do not know what is the value of link back to your site, you can read webworkshop.net’s explanation on how PageRank works.
How does it work? After you create a comment, you will be asked if you want to enable CommentLuv. When your comment gets published after going through Akismet spam filter, CommentLuv will search your site and grab the latest post and a link back will be automatically generated.
These plugins help me reach more readers so I can spread more Linux love but you can also try these and put them on your website. If you have something to say about these cool blogger tools, I would love to hear it.

commentLuv is great. Iuse it myself for quiet a while now.
You’ll definitely get more coments, but also more comment spam.
And most commenters don’T seem to care about whatever you wwrite. They are just eager to promote themselves / their business.
Still i think giving some Luv to your commetner is a good idea.
Just see how it works, and decide if you’d like to keep it …
