Ubuntu’s next version, Hardy Heron, is set to be released eight days from this writing. Much buzz is created for the awaited launch but Canonical CEO Mark Shuttleworth has more surprise for Ubuntu lovers.
Shuttleworth has been telling Reuters that Sun, famous for their Java platform and MySQL, is making sure that Java programming language and tools are compatible with Hardy Heron or Ubuntu 8.04 on some low-end and high size hardware. That probably means better performance for Java performance in Ubuntu Heron desktops.
Being Sun-certified is another big plus for Ubuntu which is very famous among new Linux users for its user-friendly and fast desktop computing.
