PinoyTux Update

I hate to admit this but PinoyTux.com is taking the backseat to my never-ending list of to-dos. It pains me to see that my last entry was August 8th – the same day I promised myself that I would commit to my 2-Post-Per-Day regimen.

But what bothers me the most is whenever I attempt to create a new post, my head goes blank and flashes of light suddenly appear with aliens coming to get me.

OK, I made up the last part. But I am damn serious about my head going blank. I mean I use Linux everyday. I use it at work, I use it at home, I use it whenever Windows can’t get the job done and hell, I even teach Linux to beginners. But why do I keep running out of ideas to write about?

Thinking long and hard, I (over)analyze what could be the reasons why I am so bad at getting my posts updated and decided to write about it. In short, this article is about me writing about why I can’t write about anything. Confused? Me too.

ADD Syndrome. I think I have a very slight case of Attention Deficit Syndrome. It is so easy for me to get distracted and I have been like this since childhood. Lucky for me, this is the closest thing I can blame for my odd behavior and do not tell me to visit a shrink because I live near National Center for Mental Health and that is the last place I want to visit in my neighborhood.
Work. Lately I have been thinking about the great questions of life. Like ‘Why do I have to go to work?’ or something like that. Must be the ADD kicking in.
Graveyards. Graveyard shift that is. I have been assigned to be on the night shift for this month and I tell you, it is difficult. Like staying awake is not hard enough, you have to actually pretend to work while you are pretending to be awake.
Secret. I am doing something I cannot discuss yet. Maybe when it is done, I will post it here.
Social activities. I have been craving for social activities these past few weeks. I love it when my friends and I go to bars and restos in Manila and just relax but it seems we are all busy with work and no one seems to have time for these stuff anymore. So, because of this, I tend to go to malls at least twice a week to dine or just to window shop and when I go home, it is straight to bed.

Now that I have listed my excuses for not updating my blog, it feels good to know how lazy I am.

nice to know you are back blog posting around here.

there are things in our life that keeps us going and going doing a repetitive kind of daily task or work, regardless of how difficult or easy doing that particular task is.

blogging for one can be a hobby, a personal escape goat out of life’s reality, another source of income stream, or a simple portrayal of one’s identity to the maximum or minimum desired level. medyo nakakatamad nga ang blogging, as evidenced by my single post per month from my last years’s blogging, but the fact that keeps us going and going keeps our attitude’s phase of being motivated, focused, and consistent – which can be applied not only for blogging but for life’s reality features.

let me tell you a secret, if you’re part-financially blogging for, here this, i know somebody who earns more than 100K just for blogging alone, can you imagine that? that is if your blogreason is for additional source of income.

how about from a career view of blogging point, i also know somebody who has been hired by a prestigious nice company just for sharing his daily work from his blog? can you imagine that? blogging can take us everywhere, it works for them, why not for us?

just keep up the phase, keep walking, keep posting, keep bouncing back, keep doing things better, keep rolling, keep blogging, keep the thumbs up, you’ll never know why blogging break will give you neh?

don’t you think it decrease our life’s true age too, keep us younger.

simple phrases can already be another blog entry, whoahhh, i think this is not a commentary words anymore, it could fit for a new blog entry, too bad, i dont do SEO blogs.

Hey Vertito!

You are right when you said that blogging can be a hobby – just like painting. And blogging as financial source? This was actually what I have in mind at first (earn from bloggin) then I came to realize that blogging is more than a source of $. Blogging can be a creative output and a time away from my very technical world (Read: System Administrator ).

In the company I work for, we have employees who go to work to blog (SEO marketing) and earns more than I do. This makes me think of switching careers.

Anyway, nice to see you posting comments here every now and then. And good luck to your blogging endeavors! ^_^
