United States of America made history on November 4, 2008 as a Senator from Illinois won the highest political seat of the most powerful country in the world. He is no other than Barack Obama, and he definitely made quite a stir as he made a few firsts that will definitely be in history books.

- He is the first African American to be nominated as Presidential Candidate by a Major Political Party (Democrat).
- He is the first Presidential candidate born in Hawaii.
- He is the first African American elected as President of the United States.

Obama will begin his duties in leading the Americans on January 20, 2009 and in his victory speech in Chicago, he proclaimed that “change has come to America”.

Congratulations, President Obama. We are hoping that the changes are for the good.

I think that Barack Obama is going to be a great president. I believe with charisma and love for this country is going to get us along ways. He even admits that not everything is going to happen once or even anything, but he is going to get us headed on the right track. I know a lot of people say that he has no experience, but he does just because it wasn’t in the white house doesn’t mean that he doesn’t know how to run a country. We all have our ideas of how we would run a country and I believe that he has a good idea of how he wants to do it and he has already shared that with all of us. Think of Bush we all hate him now and he went in there with experience and look what he got us into. I think that people are naive when they talk bad about his inexperience. He went to prestigious colleges and now he is going to run our country. He came from a low income home with a single parent. This really is the country where you can do anything that you put your mind too. John McCain looked like he is going to roll over and die any day now. He doesn’t look he has the energy to even go for a full day in the white house. Barack Obama is young and courageous and will lead the United States of America to a better life. This was the first year I got to vote and I have never known or been so involved in an election before. The world is so happy that Barack Obama is in the white house. That is such a good thing because the rest of the world isn’t very happy with us right now and if we have a president that can relate and that rest of the world likes then we can get out of this whole a lot faster. I just think that the nation needs to come together and unite so we can make better lives for ourselves once again. Electing a black man into the white house as president has already showed us a lot about our country already. We are moving forward to a move peaceful life. I wish everyone could see how great this is, but some are not as appreciative. The world will come together once again and there will be peace. We need to get out of Iraq and focus on ourselves. We need to give people better health care and create a more equal life for all of us. I am not saying a communistic country, but an equal opportunity for everyone! Barack Obama is our man. If John McCain thought bringing a women into office with him is going to get his vote he obviously thinks we are dumb. He was thinking that he was going to get the womens vote, but thats what killed him. It was a stupid choice and it shows what kind of choices he would have made in office.
