Filipino Blog Countdown to 2010
A Filipino blog, Ang Tagal Naman, launched by Bangkok-based journalist Roby Alampay shares the sentiments of Filipino people who are patiently (or impatiently) waiting for 2010, the year when President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo steps down as the country’s president.
Roby claims that the blog is not inspired by the recent Manila Peninsula event led by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. However, the blog expresses what most Filipinos feel these days, ang tagal naman, which means “it is taking too long“. Roby says that 2010 is a long way to go.
The blog is hosted by Blogspot with the first post dated November 29, 2007 and 4,000 visitors (and counting).
